I am nominating myself. I create whimsical holiday characters in my studio at Under the Nose (a gift and goodie store owned by my husband and me).

This little guy is called “Party Pete”. He stands about 5″ tall and is about 4″ wide and is made with cone 6 Porcelain. I throw him on a pottery wheel, manipulate his body to create legs, add wings, feet and beak, paint with underglaze, fire, clear glaze and fire again. I also add a handmade bow made from craft ribbon and wire. The LED light strand switch hides in his hollow body. I made 40 versions this year and sold out by Christmas. The process is repeated for each one. . . .no slip casting in this studio.
