As a Certified Zentangle Teacher, I incorporate Zentangle® inspired patterns into my mixed media collages. As a librarian, I love to include bits and pieces from book and magazine pages also. My quirky sense of humor is expressed through playful images, color, and occasional use of glitters. Zentangle is a meditative approach to drawing patterns, such as with black pen on white paper. It is an abstract method, without realistic depictions. I love to layer the patterned tissue paper on top of paper collage mixture, providing an additional visual layer into the MIX. I also love making art and enlisting the elements of surprise with unexpected combinations into my work. Blue Heaven is one example of my joyful collages that include much visual interest.
