During my study abroad semester in India, I had the honor and privilege of visiting countless temples, churches, Gurdwaras, and tombs. One location that is still ingrained in my mind is the Tomb of Mohammad Ghaus in Gwalior. The walls of this tomb comprised of jali screens that varied greatly in pattern. After researching the significance, history, and evolution of jali screens, I created this piece as a reflection of my time in India.
